First of all, my name is Eng Hook. but my friends pronounce the "Hook" as "Hock".
lets talk about the environment here on our lovely Earth.
As far as the eyes can see and even the telescope plus satelites, there is only 1 Earth. Where we are at the utmost ideal condition to live. but that "ideal condition" is about to end if we dont act quickly. Why is that?
let me tell you why.
plastics
they kill us all slowly. From what i learn in a video publish by Kurzgesact in youtube, plastic can be broken down into smaller pieces call microplastic. this happens because of the presence of UV rays from sunlight.
you might be thinking. How in the world would a plastic harm you? well now you are going to know about it.
Microplastic are small. smaller than a plankton. As we know, plankton eats smaller stuff to grow. not like the one in spongebob squarepants. we have billions of plankton in just a few feet deep of water in the sea. So when plankton consume these microplastics, they will store these plastic as the plastics cannot be broken down by any enzymatic reaction in a plankton. Shrimps will eat these planktons and fish will eat the shrimps and it goes a long way till it is serve in our plate. Imagine eating those delicious seafood in shellouts with all those shrimps, fish, crabs and lobster. All of them contain microplastics. As humans, we are the last in the food chain so we will store all those microplastics.
Thats is when we will hear someone says, "you are what you eat"

But hold on, there is more. Scientist have proof that not only seafood and sea water. Our daily products also have microplastic even the air we breath in. No wonder kids nowadays are very sensitif to dust, it is because of the microplastic. Some of the microplastics are even found in honey and other foods.
Now you know why people are banning plastics from being use again?
